Antoinette Bakker (Volunteer Awards Event and Writer)

I am delighted to be part of the FFN organisation. I write articles about award winners and updates on their achievements. My motivation comes from FFN’s positive approach. We look at what has been achieved and, for example, focus on the collaboration between award winners.

In a world where we are inundated with negative news, it is so useful and necessary to look at small positive events. I am convinced that these small achievements are the beginning of major changes. One rescued snow leopard, turtle, bat or hawk may not seem like much, but it is often the result of change and awareness in an area or community. This gives me hope.

My volunteer work makes me happy because it allows me to learn more about wildlife conservation projects, to which young, ambitious conservationists dedicate their lives.
