Frans Timmermans and Razan Al Mubarak

As 2022 celebrated the 15th anniversary of Future For Nature, there were not one but two Guests of Honour at the award ceremony. Both Frans Timmermans and Razan Al Mubarak graced the stage and told us about their experience and views on the world of nature conservation.

Frans Timmermans is the Executive Vice President of the European Commission for the European Green Deal and European Commissioner for Climate Action. He is fighting for our living planet at the highest political levels, successfully drafted the European Green Deal, and was named last year as one of Time 100’s most influential people in the world.

Razan Al Mubarak is she became the newly elected president of the IUCN, and we are delighted to have her here with us today – please welcome Razan al Mubarak. She is passionate catalyst for change in defending wildlife and wild places and the founding Managing Director of the Mohammed bin Zayed Species conservation fund, supporting thousands of conservation projects worldwide through philanthropy.
