World PANGOLIN Day: 20 February 2016

A review: Thai Van Nguyen, director of Save Vietnam’s Wildlife and Award winner 2016 took the opportunity and pointed all social media on the mischief happening to pangolins. Pangolins are the most trafficked animals on the planet today, nearly extinct in the wild, hunted and traded for their meat and the supposed healing powers of their scales. The demand from international markets in far East and Southeast Asia is huge.

Thai and all of his volunteers released 16 pangolins somewhere in central Vietnam on a spot kept well secret.  Furthermore, on the 20th of February, he openend his new Carnivore and Pangolin Education Centre.
