2025 Future For Nature Call to Apply Is Open!
The Future For Nature Foundation is looking for the next three Future For Nature Award Winners.
We are welcoming applications for the annual Future For Nature Awards for the 18th consecutive time. We are searching for natural leaders (18 – 35 years old) who have proven that they can make a difference in the survival of wild species and the future of nature.
Every year, young, talented, and ambitious nature conservationists from all over the world shoot their shot for this prestigious award. Ultimately, three inspiring wildlife heroes are selected as the winners. The FFN Award not only provides winners with a €50,000 prize to boost their conservation work, but they also gain international recognition and many connections within our widespread nature conservation network. Winners will join the FFN Family allowing them to connect with, learn from, and even work with their peers.
With the FFN Award, former winners could jumpstart their non-profit organisations, expand their nature- and/or community-based initiatives and develop new conservation projects and strategies. For example, Tomás Rivas Fuenzalida, one of the winners in 2023, developed a programme to reintroduce the rufous-tailed hawk in central Chile, working from his first successes of breeding the species in captivity. 2021 FFN winner, Mohsen Rezaie-Atagholipour, conducts a safe-release training programme for fisheries to teach fishermen how to quickly release live rays without getting injured themselves, María Fernanda Puerto-Carrillo, 2020 awards winner, carries out ‘The path of the jaguar’ programme at schools to highlight the importance of the jaguar as a top predator in the ecosystem.
Are you our next Future For Nature winner? Take a look at our application criteria and apply now! The application deadline is on the 23rd of August 2024 at 23:59 (CEST).
